Our story · Brooklyn, NY

A neighborhood table, with room for everyone.

Forno means oven. For us, it means the warmth of gathering around one.

Since 1988

Good food brings us together.

We opened our doors with a tiny oven, a handful of family recipes, and a big idea: make honest food and make everyone feel at home. A few decades later, the neighborhood has grown around us—but the dough still gets 48 hours, the sauce is still simmered slowly, and every pie is still stretched by hand.

From the first slice after school to the long dinners that turn into one more glass of wine, Forno is your place to settle in.

01 · The dough

Give it time.

Our naturally leavened dough rests for 48 hours, building the airy, tender crust that makes every bite worth it.

02 · The ingredients

Know your farmer.

Seasonal produce, honest cheese, and tomatoes from growers who care as much about flavor as we do.

03 · The people

Come as you are.

First dates, family nights, solo slices at the counter—there’s always a seat waiting at our table.

Come hungry. Leave happy.
